RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Selected as a class client for Monique Maye's Artist Management Practicum Course.

  • Performed at Uncommon Ground (sponsored by Yerba Mate), Whim Chicago, Darwin’s Piano Bar @ SXSW, Brudders Sports Bar (sponsored by Topo Chico), and ManiFresh 2024

  • Co-created content ideas for SXSW SFV Promo with the social media team as the class client

  • Prepared detailed deliverables of my branding and live performance goals for the semester

  • Worked with merchandise, marketing, and booking teams to pull together on-brand merch, promotional assets, and strategic partnerships (e.g., The Limelight Chi podcast)

  • Co-curated show lineups and invite lists for Uncommon Ground and Whim Chicago, headlined by Rani and Color.

  • Passed out handbills, keychains, stickers, and spread the word about the AEMMP showcase at SXSW

  • Momentum built over the semester led to my first sync placement in the Filipino-American web series, "No Room For Love" by Malou and Randal Kamradt

Meet Jaeya Bayani🗣️

@jaeyabayani is a multi-talented Filipinx artist from the Bay Area, CA, studying Music Business with a focus on Recorded Music and Publishing at Columbia College Chicago. She’s deeply involved in Filipinx-American and Hip-Hop cultures, blending her R&B vocal training with influences from Filipino emcees.

Jaeya aims to advocate for underrepresented artists through music and law, recently receiving recognition for her contributions to Hip-Hop culture. She’s released an EP, performed at various festivals and events, and co-founded a popping crew. Additionally, she’s involved in organizing events to showcase Fil-Am creatives.
